SENIOR DEVELOPER

Job Description:
We're looking for developers who are skilled in an enterprise environment
and understand not only how to build good technology, but also how to build

The Senior Developer role focuses on our core API and application
architecture.  You should have three to five years of experience in software
and web application development and a solid understanding of database
development using MySQL and Oracle (PL/SQL).  Senior Developers play a
technical leadership role and are expected to provide technical direction
for their team and to help Associate Developers improve their knowledge and
skills.  

Skills / Qualifications:

- Three to five years of experience in software and web application
development

- Advanced understanding of MySQL and Oracle databases (developer
fundamentals)

- Thorough understanding of programming concepts and principles

- General understanding of the C language

- Good understanding of the PHP programming language, XHTML/CSS, and
ECMAScript.

- Advanced knowledge of web protocols and programming requirements

- Advanced knowledge of a UNIX-type operating system (preferably Linux)

- Willingness to lead in a structured team environment

- Experience building highly interactive, highly trafficked, database-driven
web applications

 

Responsibilities:

- Development and enhancement of core site APIs

- Assisting lead developers in creating and implementing project
architecture and requirements

- Adhering to and contributing to established coding guidelines and
standards

- Ensuring quality of software produced through peer code review

- Creating work estimates and timeframes for development tasks

- Providing guidance to Associate Developers
