The Village Voice seeks a highly motivated candidate for its Information
Systems Department. This individual will have the responsibility for the
implementation and acceptance of  new software and hardware solutions,
including the coordination of end user acceptance and the relationships with
software vendor partners.  He or she will work with our corporate management
team assisting with company-wide initiatives and supporting company-wide
applications as directed.

Previous experience developing and implementing new initiatives in a medium
sized organization is required.  Extensive experience in SQL (MS-SQL,
MySQL), scripting (PHP, ASP, Javascript, Applescript, Data Transformation
Services), OLAP systems, network administration, internet technologies,
diverse operating systems (OSX, Linux, Windows), telecommunications and
graphics software is a must.  The ideal candidate will have experience
designing and implementing a broad scope of projects requiring information
and data communication systems.  Strong organizational, communication, and
interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical
solutions to non-technical managers and staff is also required. If you are
