They'll get someone to sell it the same way they are trying to get someone to develop it -- offer them a piece of the pie. Then you end up in a TV documentary about how someone promised 50% of his business to 5 different people.

Exactly. And what a lot of these supposed "business geniuses" don't
realize is...there's a huge amount of noise out there in cyberspace, it
takes a MASSIVE amount of time and capital to make people aware of your
website/software/what have you...and then to get them to open their
wallets.
Bottom line, if these "idea people" don't have the money to pay someone
to BUILD it, they won't have the money to pay someone to SELL it, which
from what I've heard can be even more expensive.
