Seriously, this is not even an isolated case...a few weeks back when I 
told someone how much I would charge, they started screaming into the 
phone "I only pay $10 an hour.  I got some guys doing this php for 
$10/hr.  $10/hr.!!" and then hung up on me.  


With regard to 1099 income, I would like to point out that if you are 
properly calculating all of your legal, allowable business expenses, 
your tax percentage will probably be somewhat under 33%.  Especially 
now with the cost of everything going through the roof, much of which 
is passthrough as 100% deductible.
