My client develops and maintains mission-critical software for the
web-hosting market. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional
experience developing web-based software, and experience in the web
hosting industry is a plus.

This is a full time position in either New York City or Troy, NY.  My
client offers a competitive salary & benefits package with health
insurance, 401(k) and more.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

* Solid verbal and written communication skills 
* Strong background in PHP4/5 development, experience with both object
oriented and procedural programming desired 
* Strong SQL & relational database skills, experience with MySQL desired

* Solid HTML/CSS design skills, including experience with semantic
markup and css-driven designs 
* Basic JavaScript/Ajax experience 
* A working *nix sysadmin knowledge 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 

* Expertise in developing highly-available and scalable web-based
software 
* Knowledge of billing systems, server/network monitoring & the web
hosting industry 
* Experience configuring and maintaining AMP-based systems 
* Experience with Subversion or CVS 
* Experience with other programming languages
