We're looking for a smart, driven Lead PHP Developer to join Double Dutch
Studios as part of the founding team. Double Dutch Studios is an innovative
NYC startup founded by a pair of successful Internet executives. Double
Dutch Studios is seed funded and has VC funding lined up once the product
hits market.



Our first product, inSparq, is a powerful service that allows people to
create groups of friends on the fly and aggregate conversations across
social networks and communication channels. inSparq  solves many of the core
problems created by large social networks in a simple, elegant way that is
respectful of user privacy. The product is fully wireframed and scoped.



We just brought on a Technical Cofounder to help us execute the vision.
We’re now looking to build out the team. Our ideal candidate is someone who
has built and launched products in a fast paced environment. Experience with
social API’s and email clients is a plus!

 *Skills Required*



We are looking for a talented PHP developer to join our team; ability and
commitment is more important than current skill set.



o    Experience of object oriented programming / modular programming using
PHP5

o    Understanding of MVC design patterns and frameworks

o    Front-end development experience. Should have a solid XHTML/CSS
background; Prior use of jQuery is a plus

o    Prior experience running PHP in a Linux environment

o    Experience of the full software development lifecycle: from
requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to
development, testing and delivery

o    Commercial experience in web application development and / or software
development

o    Good levels of communication – both written and verbal

o    Enthusiasm and an interest in all things technology

o    Team building and management experience is a plus





*About the Team:*



Veronika Sonsev is the CEO and Cofounder of Double Dutch Studios. Prior to
this, she was VP of Business Development at Jumptap, one of the leading
mobile ad networks. Veronika has worked in the Internet and mobile space for
over 12 years, having run business development and strategy teams at AOL and
Jumptap. Veronika has built new business lines for both companies by
crafting game changing deals, launching international markets and developing
new product offerings.  She earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from American University.
She co-chairs Women in Wireless and sits on the advisory board on a number
of companies, including Jumptap and Pocket Hurricane.


Richard Hecker is an Advisor and Board Member of Double Dutch Studios.
Richard is an Internet media executive and entrepreneur whose career spans
the online marketing and social media industry in senior business
development and general management roles. Most recently, he played a key
role in the acquisition of Bebo from AOL and is currently leading the effort
to monetize and grow Bebo as part of the turnaround plan. Prior to Bebo,
Richard founded over a dozen ventures in the internet industry including
ThinkStreams, one of the first mobile click to call companies;
Groupable.com, a ground breaking marketplace connecting groups and sponsors;
and Lavoke, an early social media agency. In addition, Richard has launched
four major conferences over the last four years, enabling him to rapidly
build networks and influence in new industry segments. Richard specializes
in the monetization of media and in building social networks (offline &
online). He is fascinated by the power of social communications and
cofounded the first nonprofit on Facebook, TakesAllTypes.org. Richard holds
a BS in Finance from Binghamton University.
