We are a dynamic internet company in the travel, leisure and entertainment
fields that has grown through the economic downturn and continues to
experience dramatic growth. We are looking for a *talented front-end web
developer* to help us build our consumer website.



*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

You will be responsible for completing the build of our public-facing
website using custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript to support our already
designed interface.  Primary responsibilities will include translating
Photoshop comps into functional pages, integrating AJAX elements and Flash
Video into the site, and providing continued support for the website once
launched.



This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience
developing amazing consumer-oriented websites that blend strong functional
web usability, core SEO principles and impeccable markup.  You will work
hand-in-hand with a talented group of professionals on a full-time basis in
our SoHo office for the duration of the project.

* EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILLS*

·       Expert proficiency with XHTML and CSS, including experience working
with sprites.

·       Proven ability to create pixel perfect renditions of comps.

·       Understanding of web usability best practices, SEO and interface
design.

·       Thorough experience of JavaScript, including frameworks (jQuery,
general AJAX, YUI, etc.)

·       Proven ability to create standards-compliant HTML code that
validates.

·       Proven ability to deal with cross-browser issues and make code work
across browsers.

·       Experience with graceful degradation of both cross-browser HTML
issues as well as for users without JS.

·       Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.

·       Creativity, conscientiousness, and meticulous attention to detail.

·       Experience with Drupal a plus.

·       Experience with PHP a plus.

·       Experience with Flash a plus.

·       Experience with video integration a plus.



There is potential for a full-time position with our organization upon
successful completion of the project.
