Senior PHP Web Developer


Job Description:

Our client is searching for a talented, senior level web developer to join their team in New York City, to hit the ground running developing and supporting core applications.

The senior web developer will be a member of an innovative development team as they create cutting-edge, engaging web and mobile applications for the music and entertainment industry.

Requirements:


·       5+ years professional web development experience working on high-traffic site(s)

·       Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

·       Expert-level knowledge of PHP5, MySQL and SQL

·       Database administration experience

·       Thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, JS

·       Experience workingwith and extending an existing code base

·       Background in ecommerce

·       Familiarity working with different APIs and third-party libraries

·       Experience with structured data (XML, JSON) and web service consumption

·       Experience with/exposure to the full web-application development cycle: documentation,design, coding, testing, version control, etc
Desirable Skills:

·       Knowledge of UI design

·       Knowledge of non-relational database such as Mongo DB

·       Experience with version control (git)

·       Mobile applicationdevelopment (iPhone, Android)

·       Desktop application development

·       Experience with bash and shell scripting a plus

·       Familiarity with open source platforms such as Wordpress and Magento

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provision of full system development and database design and support using HTML, PHP, XML and MySQL.

·       Design, architect, optimize and extend new and existing web ticketing, ecommerce and reporting solutions for clients.

·       Report generation to enable information for both internal and external clients.

·       Technical input during product design.

·       Assist in developing and maintaining systems documentation.

·       API integration support for clients.

·       Work with and support a global IT team.

·       Research, design and develop industry-leading applications across multiple platforms.

·       Continuously develop CrowdSurge and industry knowledge, commercial awareness and own skills and abilities in order to provide the best possible standard of IT solutions.


Compensation:

 *   $80 – 110,000 basic (pending experience)

Junior Web Developer


Job Description:


Our client  is searching for a talented, Junior Web Designer to join their team in New York City. The junior web designer will have strong graphic design and website coding skills to assist in the design and deployment of industry leading products for clients and create high quality online and offline content for the marketing and sales departments.​

Requirements:

·       2+ years professional graphic / web design experience.

·       Bachelor's degree in design or related field.

·       Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

·       Must be creative, with good knowledge of basic design principles.

·       Good understanding of HTML and CSS.

·       Solid understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PDF).

·       Prior experience with FTP required

·       Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·       Must have online portfolio to demonstrate design and coding skill-set.


Desirable Skills:

·       Experience with creating email newsletters and bulk email software.

·       Experience with content management systems.

·       Well versed in digital, interactive and social media.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist in all phases of our online user experience, from concept to on-going maintenance.

·       Deploy and customize existing templates to match client brand guidelines.

·       Assisting with Image processing and content management.

·       Design and code email newsletters.

·       Design and produce professional marketing and sales materials (digital and print).

·       Attend to multiple marketing projects and meet all production schedule deadlines associated with the projects.

·       Ensure all CrowdSurge brand representation is of a high standard and meets brand guidelines.
