CollegeHumor is seeking an ambitious, well-rounded Front End Developer.
You will work with our small talented team of developers on a number of
large high profile websites which include: CollegeHumor, Dorkly, Jest,
and SportsPickle as well as contribute to a number of internal tools and
services. Collectively our sites reach over 12 million users every
month.
Overview of Role
This role is for a
front-end developer who will primarily be working on CollegeHumor.com.
They will also be working on Dorkly.com and Sportspickle.com, but mostly
CollegeHumor.com.
The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and a degree in Computer Science.
The candidate must be able to provide URLs that will show their code
with descriptions that specifically describe what components of the URLs
they were responsible for.
The candidate must have experience
developing over an MVC Framework, and using PHP or a similar language
to dynamically generate front-end code.
The candidate must be a
conscientious developer who validates his/her code, codes semantically,
and understands how to develop for multiple browsers and devices.
The candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced environment with small agile development teams.
Requirements
- Expert level HTML skills
- Expert level CSS skills
- Fluent in JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and the DOM
- Knowledgeable about cross browser issues, and how to fix them
- Strong attention to detail, pixel perfect precision
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
- Experience using PHP to generate front-end code is a big plus.
- Experience working in a Scrum environment is a big plus.
