SNAP Interactive, a publicly traded company, has a new opening for a senior
PHP Developer. This position is full-time and is conveniently based one
block from Penn Station.

*Required Skills and Experience:*

·         Advanced PHP expertise with at least 3 years of object oriented
PHP5 development

·         At least 3 years of experience with MySQL

·         Expertise in CSS, HTML, Javascript and Ajax

·         Experience with jQuery or other Javascript frameworks

·         Comfortable programming from scratch. Not dependent on frameworks

·         Solid understanding of common security practices including XSS
and preventing SQL injectionsPrevious experience with modern software
development tools such as issues tracking systems, distributed source
control and unit testing

·         Previous experience with exotic MySQL topologies
preferredExperience with MySQL slaves preferred

·         US work authorization (All applicants must possess proper US work
eligibility and authorization documents)



*Pluses:*

·         Passion for other cutting-edge technologies such as MongoDB,
Hadoop, and Solr.

·         Experience with common APIs (Facebook, Google, Spotify, and
Twitter) a plus

·         Professional experience at a high-traffic, consumer web sites (>1
million visits)
