We're building a strong team to work on all three of our iconic brands:
Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal.  I'm looking for someone who
enjoys a startup environment and brings their own brand of awesome to an
existing group of talented developers.  This candidate will be an
integral part of a team tasked with re-imagining two of our three brands
for the next generation.

 

To be clear, we're building the brand, not the print magazine.  In fact,
we're only loosely tied to the print side of the business and represent
a clear shift in the company's focus and mindset for the future.  

 

The vibe here is young, talented and hardworking, all with a
make-it-happen attitude.  

 

 

 

 

Must haves (including a rough allocation of where I'd like to see their
strengths)

*           35% Front-end (i.e., HTML5/CSS3/Javascript)

*           35% PHP

*           30% MySQL

*           Strong OOP/MVC (Symfony framework ideal)

*           Git

*           3 - 5+ years experience (high-traffic public website ideal)

Nice to Have:

*           AWS experience

*           iOS/Android development experience
