[joomla] question about MSSQL

Are you sure you have to modify "many scripts" in 1.5?  Isn't it just the db functions?

Yes and no. Yes Joomla can use any database. No because you will have to 
modify many scripts including extensions.
Why would you want to? Migrate the MSSQL to MySql then map the fields.
