well on a simplier note, i perfer the sha1() encyption type. it's like the
md5 but produces a longer string of [A-z0-9] characters making it harder
to *guess*. really if you that concerned about security then you need to
discuss this with your sysadmin. they may need to set up software that
stops people from using programs that hit your server repeatedly with
*guessing* requests.
