I have the (hardcopy) version of the book.  I think it's a good, useful, 
book.  I've noted a number of typos in the code examples, however, which 
will keep you on your toes as you read through it.  Given that the 
download is the galley proof of the book as it went to press, these typos 
haven't been corrected in the PDF.  (Contrast with O'Reilly's commitment 
to maintaining errata for their books...)
