Thanks Chris. I had apparently been reading people who read that 
article. It was better.

It's obvious once again: one needs to be an expert at everything to be 
good at the web. I know I will never do well with js, so I will continue 
to do things the way the XXXXX library allows me to, and then move on 
again next time.

That makes me more of a novice than ever before. Yeah. Another year older.
